We’re making Archipelagoons, a 3D browser-based MMO, available for public testing at game.archipelagoons.com. No download is required – it runs directly in your browser.
The current build includes a functional multiplayer world where players can travel between different islands. The combat system supports real-time PvP with various weapons and armor that provide stat modifications. We’ve implemented a crafting system with recipes that work alongside placeable crafting stations like furnaces and workbenches. Players can construct buildings and structures, with basic ownership controls for island access and permissions.
The social framework includes friend lists, chat functionality, and NPC interactions for trading and banking. Players can store items with banker NPCs and use skipper services to travel between islands. A basic player trading system is operational for exchanging items and resources.
We’re working on expanding these systems with item enchanting mechanics, building destruction features, organized raiding capabilities, and hostile mob encounters. These additions are still in development and not yet available.
This is a pre-alpha build, which means it contains bugs and incomplete features. Some systems may not work as expected, and the game receives frequent updates that can temporarily affect stability. We’re sharing it at this stage because player feedback helps guide development decisions and identify issues we might miss in internal testing.
If you encounter problems or have suggestions, there’s an in-game reporting system accessible by pressing the backtick key. These reports help us prioritize fixes and understand which features need the most attention.
The game is accessible at game.archipelagoons.com for anyone interested in seeing the current state of development.
